What You'll Do

• Stroll through the grounds of Pavlovsk Palace, one of the largest

landscaped parks in Europe

• Admire the neoclassical Pavlovsk Palace and learn about the

interesting period in Russian history it reflects

• Learn about the life of Russian Emperor Paul I and his family

On this 5-hour guided tour you will explore the Pavlovsk Palace, the Gala

summer residence of Tzar Paul I, the only legitimate son of Catherine the

Great. Be enchanted by this neoclassical residence and its warm lived-in

feel, with clear bright interiors and a homely, yet lavish, ambience. You

will firstly tour the palace of Emperor Paul, which served as his Gala

summer residence when he became the Tzar of Russia in 1796. Following

the informative tour of the palace we will walk around the park of this

verdant residence. This 600-quatratmeter landscaped garden and the

pavilions that decorate the park's different corners are a true delight.

Hint: This tour can be combined with a visit to Tsarskoe Selo to see the

imperial estate (Catherine Palace with Amber Room) and park complex of

Catherine the Great.
