DAY ONE / 9 hours
On your first day you will see the major sites of the palace estates
including statues, monuments, rivers and canals, beautiful bridges,
cathedrals and palaces, memorial squares and parks. Visit Catherine
Palace and view the stunning palace facade which is 1000 feet long.
The tour will visit all of the major halls and private rooms. A
particular highlight is the Amber Room. Drive to Peterhof and visit
Peterhof Fountain Park – built to rival Versailles in France, Peter the
Great helped design the 300 acre park and fountains. Stroll through
the lower park, and its 150 fountains. Return to St. Petersburg and
take the Metro – which is an attraction in itself – find out why they
are known as the magnificent "Palaces Underground". Return to the
ship.
DAY TWO / 9 hours
On the second day you will have panoramic city tour of St.
Petersburg and a visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress + Cathedral.
Later visit the Church of Savior on the Spilled Blood & S Isaac
Cathedral + Colonnade. Have a break for lunch (own expense).
After that visit the Hermitage Museum. Take a canal cruise before
returning to the ship at around 6 pm.
